Privacy Policy

The Okinawa-India Friendship Association (hereinafter referred to as “the Association”) complies with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and other relevant laws and regulations, and appropriately handles personal information acquired in connection with the Association’s activities.

Article 1 (Acquisition of Personal Information)

In connection with inquiries, membership applications, applications to participate in various programs, and similar matters, the Association acquires, by appropriate means, personal information such as names, addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses, affiliations, and other necessary information.

Article 2 (Purpose of Use)

The Association uses acquired personal information within the scope of the following purposes:

  • Responding to and communicating regarding inquiries
  • Membership procedures and member management
  • Information about the general assembly, events, and various programs
  • Membership-fee billing and other operations related to the Association’s administration
  • The use of photographs and videos in the Association’s public-relations activities, including the website, social media, newsletters, and other media

Article 3 (Provision to Third Parties)

Except as provided by law, the Association does not provide personal information to third parties without the consent of the individual.

Article 4 (Security Control Measures)

The Association takes necessary and appropriate measures for security control, including the prevention of leakage, loss, or damage of personal information.

Article 5 (Disclosure, Correction, Deletion, etc.)

If an individual requests disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, suspension of use, or similar action regarding their own personal information, the Association will respond appropriately in accordance with laws and regulations.
