India, which has contributed to cultural exchange between East and West since ancient times, has walked through history with deep ties to Okinawa-beginning with its relationship with the Ryukyu Kingdom, which served as a bridge for historical Asian trade. In recent years, the relationship between Okinawa and India has deepened economically as well, and despite differences in ethnicity and historical background, the people of Okinawa and India seem to share a kindred wisdom that runs deep in their hearts.
We firmly believe that this feeling of closeness will continue to strengthen the friendly ties between Okinawa and India and grow into a broader movement.
From this standpoint, the time has come for Okinawa and India to deepen their mutual understanding beyond differences in language, customs, and traditions, and to find new expectations and possibilities for international exchange in the fields of culture, education, the economy, and more.
The "Okinawa-India Friendship Association" was formed for the purpose of fostering goodwill between Okinawa and India and close communication and cooperation in the fields of culture, education, the economy, and more. We believe that if we can achieve the objectives of this Association with the active support of all those who take an interest in Okinawa-India relations, it will not only help develop friendly relations between Okinawa and India but will also contribute in no small measure to the ideal of establishing lasting peace as a new center of exchange for the countries of the Asia-Pacific.
We therefore kindly ask all of you with an interest in India to join and lend us your support.

OIFA is recruiting members who support the aims of our Association and who will join us in promoting friendship and goodwill between Okinawa and India, as well as exchange and collaboration across many fields such as culture, the economy, and education.

The secretariat will inform you of the payment details. Please transfer the annual fee to the designated account.
Registration Complete
After your payment and the secretariat's procedures are complete, we will send you a notice confirming completion of your membership registration.
